Kemi

 

Kemi first experienced the benefits of Pilates whilst rehabilitating an ongoing knee injury during her dance training at The Laban Centre of Dance and Movement. Her knee injury was rehabilitated successfully and she continued her profession as a dancer with a new found passion for Pilates. In 2004 Kemi completed the Pilates Foundation two year course with Anne-Marie Zulkahari and Hana Jones, founding members of the Pilates Foundation Uk. This intensive training course combined with Kemmi's own experience of rehabilitation gave her the knowledge and skills to work with a wide range of client's. Kemmi brings sensitivity, dedication and a keen eye for movement to her teaching, encouraging her client's to achieve self awareness and precision in their Pilates practise. 

 

Kemmi teaches at a number of Pilates Studio's in London as well as

co-directing and teaching at Berkhamsted Pilates Studio near her home. Kemmi is part of the Pilates Foundation Teacher Training team at Anne-Marie Zulkahari's Studio in London where she mentor's trainee Pilates Teacher's.

Lucy

 

 

Lucy first experienced the benefits of Pilates during her BA Hons degree in Dance, as a way of addressing dance injuries and improving her performance. This inspired her to train to teach Pilates. She has been teaching for over 20 years and holds qualifications with Body Control Pilates in matwork, and full studio training with Polestar Pilates and the Pilates Foundation.

 

 

Lucy previously co-owned a busy Pilates studio in Central London for ten years, teaching a broad range of clients of all ages and abilities, including those recovering from surgery and injury, clients with musculoskeletal conditions, women during pregnancy and clients looking to enhance their athletic performance.

After starting a family Lucy moved to Berkhamsted and now co-owns and teaches at Berkhamsted Pilates Studio. Her teaching combines a love of movement with close attention to detail, and she is dedicated to helping each client correct imbalances in their body and carry what they learn in the studio into their everyday lives.

Lucinda

 

Lu's journey in the health and fitness industry started as a Sports Therapist and Personal Trainer in 2013, working in London. Over the next five years she worked across multidisciplinary clinics, gyms and elite rugby. Her passion for Pilates began as a student and she went on to train comprehensively with Polestar Pilates, graduating in 2017.

Lu combines the knowledge and experience of her MSc in Sports Rehabilitation, Personal Training and Pilates to create bespoke sessions for each client's unique body.

 

She is passionate about transferring the principles of Pilates into everyday life, helping her clients build strength, resilience, ease of movement and balance throughout the body.

Kay

Kay first came to Pilates through her background in dance. She has trained extensively with Alan Herdman, BASI Pilates and Fletcher Pilates, and brings over 20 years of experience to her teaching, having previously owned her own successful Pilates studio.

She has worked with a diverse range of clients and has a particular passion for rehabilitation, especially supporting clients through cancer recovery. She also shares her skills by teaching at the Hospice of St Francis.

Kay teaches with a love of movement and precision that comes from years of dance and deep study of the Pilates method, helping clients move better, feel stronger and connect more deeply with their bodies.

Carol

Carol first discovered Pilates while recovering from a shoulder injury  and that personal experience of rehabilitation has inspired her thoughtful and supportive approach to teaching.

She is trained with Body Control Pilates in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac and the Wunda Chair, and draws on both her training and her own experience to bring real understanding to every session. She is passionate and attentive in her teaching, guiding clients with precision and care.

Carol loves helping clients discover how Pilates can improve strength, mobility and overall wellbeing, tailoring each session to suit individual needs and watching each client grow stronger and more confident in their body.
